This video is using a Bosch 60-tooth 12 inch blade. This is a cross cut demonstration. The bamboo fibers run up and down the length of the board. The plunge from the center is optimal for clean cut surface edges. All chop saws do this. Blades with 60 to 80 teeth are known as cross-cutting and provides a finer cut and seem optimal for the job.
